The 2026 Rainbow Connection Telethon Art Contest gives local students the opportunity to win a smart board for their school district.
“We often buy smart boards for area schools to make classrooms more inclusive for all students,” said Perci Garner Executive Director of the Rainbow Connection. “We’re hoping this incentive will encourage students throughout Tuscarawas County to not only participate in our art contest, but the opportunity to experience the benefits of this device in their classrooms.”
Open to all students grades kindergarten through 12th who attend school in Tuscarawas County, the art contest is open through December 01, 2025. Students may turn-in their original artwork on 8.5”x11” paper to their art teacher, school office, local library, or the Rainbow Connection office. Their name, phone number, grade, and school district should be included on the back.
“We can only do our work because of those who support us,” Garner said. “We’re excited to help our young artists do the same by giving them the opportunity to use their talents to give back to their school and community.”
The Rainbow Connection Telethon is live Sunday, March 08, 2026. Each year billboards promoting the event feature the grand-prize winners design as well as the faces of the top ten winners. An auction supporting the fundraiser will feature canvases from the top ten artists selected by the Rainbow Connection board of directors. Looking for ideas? Artwork from past winners can be viewed at tuscrainbow.org.
